Important results from the project

The goal of the project is to ensure progress towards the Swelife vision and to ensure that the program delivers according to Swelife´s long term goals. This will result in a shorter process from idea to innovation for the benefit of both individuals and society. It will also result in economic growth.

Expected long term effects

The six-year evaluation carried out in 2020 states, among other things, that “Swelife is an overall functioning programme that has achieved coordination and collaboration between actors in the life science sector in an exemplary manner. The program has made an impression in several areas where efforts have not previously been implemented. The program office is appreciated and described as accessible, knowledgeable, committed and responsive. A special strength is the program office´s ability to connect actors and projects with each other. ”

Approach and implementation

The activities initiated within Swelife aim to achieve the programme´s long-term objective (1) Life science-Sweden´s competencies and resources are used nationally through collaboration and coordination, (2) Sweden has a sustainable, growing and internationally competitive life science sector and (3) Residents in Sweden has access to innovative, cost-effective and individualized solutions for better health based on current “best practice”
