Important results from the project

The objective of the project was to demonstrate the potential of 2D-materials by removing or lowering barriers in areas standardization and characterization, work environment and safety, circular flows, use of test and demo facilities, competence provision and demonstration of graphene innovation. The project has contributed to creating new knowledge in the identified areas, through the projects from the calls for proposals and through to creating cross-connetions between the projects

Expected long term effects

The project has been successful and helped to increase the area´s maturity. In standardization, the project has driven the work both nationally and internationally. Support to the actors has been valuable. The grants have been announced via siografen.se, with steering group deciding on the grants. A total of 12 Master´s theses, 7 standardization checks, 2 test bed support and 1 support for participation in international standardization work have been approved. The communication efforts within the project have included participation at Graphene Week in Munich 2022 and in Gothenburg 2023.

Approach and implementation

The work has been carried out in 5 work packages (WP): WP1 aimed at creating new types of project in open calls for proposals. WP2 connected the projects in the calls for proposals and gave the opportunity to participate in national and international standardization work. WP3 communicated the potential with 2D materials. WP4 has handled support for the actors in the areas of degree projects, standardization work and use of test bed. WP5 handled project management. The project had a steering group that made decisions about support within wP4 and also followed the project as a whole.
