Important results from the project
The project The Swedish Innovation Summit 2015 succeeded in developing the content and format of the conference, as well as reaching out to a broader audience. Furthermore the conference resulted in national attention, debate and knowledge sharing within the conference theme.
Expected long term effects
A record high of nearly 300 representatives from the Swedish innovation system gathered at the conference. Among the participants where representatives from innovation environments, universities and institutes, as well as national, regional and local leading politicians, policy makers and industry. Also, for the first time, the Swedish Swedish Prime Minister participated.
Approach and implementation
The arrangement enabled and stimulated to meetings, interaction and exchange of best practice between the different organisations in the Swedish innovation system. The mixed program, with both presentations and panels on stage, combined with workshops and seminars, was appreciated by the participants. Especially the seminars and workshops, which opened up for new contacts and dialogue between the operational organizations and actors at the policy level in the Swedish innovation system. Furthermore, we registered that many participants found the conference theme relevant.
