Important results from the project
AFSR has completed the project ´Prize for young researchers´ for 2013 according to plan. The prize project has a Swedish part and a French part, where the first prize in the Swedish part was an extended stay in a French research laboratory for a young Swedish scientist, and vice versa. The work was done in cooperation with the respective embassies, and with industrial sponsors. The association has furthermore organized two seminar sessions, one visiting lecture, and two study tours, and it has also participated in the organization of several further events.
Expected long term effects
We estimate that the results of this year´s work well corresponds to what were the intentions at the beginning of the year.
Approach and implementation
Since AFSR is an ´ideell förening´ a considerable part of the work has been performed by its Board members and other members of our Working group. In addition the Association had an employed general secretary until the annual meeting in September 2013, where it was decided to discontinue having an employed general secretary.
