Important results from the project

The goal of the project was to improve Harvest Moons´s ability to attract venture capital and accelerate the launch of our product through design, product development and patent strategy. The goal has been met and the project has resulted in us designing a better solution, both technically and in terms of users. The result is taken further in continued product development and testing.

Expected long term effects

Through simplified handling of human waste as fertilizer, our concept has been strengthened and the product offering has been clarified and become more attractive. The development of IP and IP strategy has simplified contacts with relevant actors in collection, production and recycling. The project has helped us to show that our solution can be implemented in a value chain for waste and that it is technically and ecologically possible and can reach social acceptance, which is crucial for the company´s continued funding.

Approach and implementation

The support from Vinnova has enabled us to test, evaluate and develop new better solutions. The set-up for the project has been good and we largely followed the planned plan, but in some parts we underestimated the working hours, eg regarding further development of the hardware. More time than planned was also spent on getting good information from actors in the recycling chain, as well as getting clarity on how the legislation should be interpreted.
