Important results from the project

The project encompasses an inventory of best practice plus a demonstrator project which exhibits the potential of well designed solutions for waterborne mass transit in urban areas. The main objective is to provide an example on how waterborne transport can contribute to urban mobility. By the use of existing waterways and focus on facilitating the everyday situation of the passenger great benefits for the society can be achieved with only limited investment. The idea is to link a smart intermodal transport chain with an equally smart solution of ICT and connection logistics.
