Important results from the project

The purpose of this project is to recommend a mobility service that can be introduced in Kista in the short term. The service should have a high level of innovation and create an attractive platform for knowledge-intensive companies to participate while providing residents and tenants with better service. The project has focused on transport of people within Kista as transport to and from Kista will be handled through planned infrastructure investments. The project´s key players themselves have the mandate and better conditions to realize a solution within Kista in the short term.

Expected long term effects

The project proposes a package of mobility services that together correspond to the need for mobility within Kista in the short term. A package of services is justified by the fact that a service cannot solve all the challenges related to mobility in Kista for all relevant actors. It also provides flexibility to meet the maximum number of target groups and creates opportunities for everyone to contribute to sustainable development in Kista.

Approach and implementation

The project has been based on existing studies and analyzes of mobility in Kista. In the initiation phase of the feasibility study, Kista´s area-specific conditions were also mapped. With this as a starting point, the investigative phase of the study began, where we collected the key actors´ different perspectives on mobility,mobility initiatives and mobility needs in Kista.This was done via interviews and Workshops with key actors.These were packaged into a common mobility solution based on the actors´ interests,needs and Kista´s conditions.
