Purpose and goal

The project goal is to organize a conference with people invited who can make a difference in their organizations. The conference intends to highlight good examples on how to work with sustainable e-commerce and weave in large parts of it the work done by ASTER during its first 3 years. To keep a continuation momentum around the issue, speakers are asked to focus on concrete examples of how they themselves, or together with partners, work with sustainability today from different perspectives.

Expected effects and result

The work on sustainable retail has only just begun and there are still many actors who have not been reached either by knowledge, that is already linked to sustainable e-commerce, or had the opportunity to get involved in collaborative projects. The result of the conference is that more actors have the opportunity to share the needs of collaboration going forward, which can be taken further into new innovation initiatives and be communicated in a unified approach after the conference.

Planned approach and implementation

The conference is organized together with Svensk Handel who has been, and is, an important partner in reaching out and engaging important actors within retail. Together, planning and execution of the conference held on 23/10 at A-House at Slussen in Stockholm is carried out. Svensk Handel in turn pays half of the costs linked to the event. ASTER is responsible for documenting and communicating the outcome of the conference and passing on the needs that arise around collaboration and challenges.
