Important results from the project
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Akademiska Hus and The university college in Gävle want to develop their learning environments outdoors and we at Lovisa of Sweden want more products for our range. We have drawn on a collection that has generated a bank of new ideas. We have also developed two prototypes that in the coming years will be tested and evaluated at The university college in Gävle. After future evaluation, we will also get a clear picture of whether this corresponds to the users´ needs.
Expected long term effects
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Högskolan now has a 3x8m long The Whale, a pergola that serves as an outdoor conference room. Sun protection walls extend from east to west to create sun protection and still maintain an outdoor feeling. At the front there is a whiteboard with the goal of being able to project on. Inside the pergola are the standing tables The Ant, with its almost 3 meter long table parts and backrest, functions as a meeting table and audience bench. These innovative outdoor offices create completely new conditions and are expected to increase human health.
Approach and implementation
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** By including Akademiska Hus we have developed a possible collection of outdoor office products. Based on the collection, we have then, together with representatives from the university college in Gävle and Akademiska Hus, selected two proposals that have since been realized as prototypes and are now located at The university college in Gävle. The prototypes have a manufacturing basis that after an evaluation from users can be adjusted to then be picked up in a production and start selling. A test bed work has begun and will extend over the entire next year.
