Purpose and goal
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project aims to strengthen the industry concerning sustainability, both in the short and long term. In the short term by highlighting existing initiatives within the gaming industry and in other industries that use gaming technology, highlight effective sustainability initiatives and by creating a standard model for CO2 calculations. In the long term through effects that can strengthen the companies´ long-term sustainability work with concrete tools and advice and through proposed policy measures that are also included as part of the project.
Expected effects and result
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Develop a model for SMEs in the computer game industry that can calculate CO2 impact, not least through scope 3, indirect emissions and thereby raise awareness but also strengthen companies in the face of upcoming EU legislation. Highlight sustainability initiatives within the industry as well as look at impact in other industries. Develop policy proposals on sustainability work that can strengthen for the industry and look at how intangible assets are linked to the sustainability issue and form a component of sustainability work in the industry.
Planned approach and implementation
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project will work in four work packages: 1) look at the standardization of emissions calculations with a focus on SME companies in the industry, 2) highlight examples within the industry in the form of games with sustainability as a theme, 3) best-practice in the industry such as enhanced sustainability through the use of gaming technology. Overall, the results, with feedback from reference groups, will be compiled into a policy report.
