Project duration March 2025 - October 2025
Status Ongoing
Venture Strategic innovation program SIO Grafen

Purpose and goal

This strategic project aims to help Swedish and Norwegian companies in the graphene value chains to make more informed strategic and operational decisions about the sustainability performance of their products. The goal of the project is to further develop and provide user support for the LCA tools for the manufacture and use of graphene and related 2D materials that were developed in the project LCA prototype tool for graphene - GRALCA.

Expected effects and result

Development of a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tool for graphene-related production and use. In the tool, users can find relevant data for the raw materials and processes they use in the production and use of their products. They can also enter the necessary information about their own products and production conditions. Companies should be able to use the tool to in their decision-making processes.

Planned approach and implementation

The project consists of the following activities: 1. Fine-tune the user interface and functionalities needed to expand the tool to include additional lifecycle scenarios and environmental impact categories. 2. Consolidate and modify the modules created in GRALCA to provide the flexibility to address a wider range of applications and user needs. 3. Implement and test the tool for the use cases of the partners 4. Collect additional data. 5. Project communication and management.
