Important results from the project
To make it easier for the teacher, StudyBee has now made it possible to assess and provide feedback on Google Classroom based on the learning objectives that Skolverket has for the Swedish schools, both at primary and secondary level. In August 18, 2016, we launched StudyBee Chrome extension that supports all this.
Expected long term effects
Three weeks after the launch, we had approximately 5,000 users in our database. In addition, over 100 schools have registered their interest in using our Chrome extension. Our extension will save about 3 hours per week and teachers, and help students achieve their goals in school. Our extension will also lower the cost of the principal as the classic learning management systems (LMS) are no longer needed. With StudyBee the principal saves about 150 000 kr per year.
Approach and implementation
We have specified in detail how our extension should work and how it should look. We have then used an outside consulting firm for the implementation. This allowed us to accelerate the development, but we have always kept good control of the code. We have all the skills that we need within the team. This was the same way as we described in our application and we completed the project according to plan.
