Important results from the project
The project has analyzed the Swedish HS-rail planning commission (Sverigeförhandlingen), started in 2014 and finalized in 2017. The purpose has been to assess through interviews at regular intervals with cities, municipalities and other parties management, cooperation and execution in Swedish infrastructure and regional planning. A secondary purpose has been to analyze if the Swedish management culture is competitive and what are its key strengths. The project shows that typical characteristics of the Swedish managerial style contributed strongly to the commission’s work.
Expected long term effects
The project has provided new and important insights into how the Swedish management style may be implemented and how innovative regional planning may be carried out.
