Purpose and goal
The goal of this project is to perform a study that pioneers advancements in miniaturized, high-efficiency multi-antenna-in-package (AiP) systems for mmWave frequencies, enabling the creation of superior mmWave radar systems that are easily integrated and have a fast time to market. The result shall be documented in a report, enabling integration in future high-efficient pulsed mmWave-radar-systems.
Expected effects and result
This endeavour will not only address critical technical challenges but also align with Acconeer´s commitment to sustainability by focusing on enhancing production yield and reducing power consumption.
Planned approach and implementation
To achieve these objectives, we aim to develop high-performance mmWave antenna systems and innovate in antenna types and configurations, with a keen focus on 1) Enhancing Antenna Efficiency and Robustness 2) Precise Control Over Component Dimensions and Placement 3) Innovation in Antenna Designs and Configurations 4) Signal Processing Techniques 5) Advanced antenna system modelling.
