Important results from the project

The purpose of the project was to develop methods and actions for implementing innovative solutions for climate and resource efficiency during the construction phase of urban development areas while at the same time promoting enhanced security, mobility and health. The project has met the goal of producing a project application with strong constellation with measures for safety, movement and health as well as resource efficiency in the construction phase. An application is scheduled to be sent to InfraSweden in January.

Expected long term effects

The outcome of the feasibility study is a thorough and well-established FoI application in accordance with the application and start report. Expected effects of the subsequent FoI study are demonstrated and verified production methods for designing sustainable surfaces for managing masses in the construction phase, which both save resources and reduce climate emissions and provide the conditions for a safer and more positive experience of the district area during and after the construction period

Approach and implementation

The project consisted of the work packages Social sustainability / safety and health; Building Logistics as well as Management. Across these AP´s work, work has been conducted through meetings and workshops where actions and actor constellation have been discussed. In addition to the proposals for actions and actors, literature studies have been carried out with the aim of identifying good examples. An important part of the feasability study has been anchoring measures as well as hedging of co-financing.
