Important results from the project

Strängnäs municipality intended to redefine the meaning of the concept workplace and see how the coworking surface can contribute to creativity and innovation in collaboration, as a complement to our physical offices, and our respective "home offices". Objective: - experienced to work in community: yes - collaborated with other actors: yes, at several occasions - focused on creative / changing development: yes, sporadic conversations - drawn conclusions about attractive workplace and employer: has not been requested by the home organization

Expected long term effects

Concrete insights: - within specific activity (networking in innovation, development, etc.): Outcome: Nätverket is home for networking, the concrete collaborative work often takes place elsewhere - how can a future attractive workplace be, what conclusions do we draw? Outcome: question not treated Insights of an innovatory nature: - what happens when the concepts of workplace and community are merged? Outcome: this is happening and becoming increasingly important - how can we (public actors) contribute to each other´s development? Outcome: unclear how, but it must happen

Approach and implementation

- About our own staffing: difficult to appoint permanent staff when questions to be dealt with are highly variable - In order to jointly solve tomorrow´s challenges, concrete and specific issues would need to be processed, against defined common objective. - This points to a management issue that needs to be adressed , which can be done in several ways: 1) resource owners decide which issues are to be resolved in collaboration/tasks to be pursued 2) resource owners mandate their participating employees to decide which issues that must be solved/ tasks that must be carried out
