Important results from the project

Stockholm FoodTech Boot Camp has as its ambition to gather the Swedish ecosystem around foodtech and produce a so-called bootcamp with actors from the various areas present. During three days participating entrepreneurs will receive help to refine business plans, processes and market presence. together with other activities the aim is to build Stockholm and Sweden into a global foodtech hub and to create good conditions for a new export industry.

Expected long term effects

The result has surpassed the goals. Through the bootcamp and additional activities such as teh Smaka på Stockholm food festival, FoodTech Village, Sweden FoodTech Big Meet and Almedalen FoodTech Village, the Swedish foodtech sector has been established and grown strong. A number of companies beyond the 21 participants of the bootcamp have participated in activities aiming at building the Swedish foodtech sector.

Approach and implementation

The concept was to gather actors in the new foodtech sector and help them grow by producing a bootcamp with active mentorship and networking at the core, and to present the best examples at the public Smaka på Stockholm food festival in June. The analysis is that systems that create and activate networks lead entrepreneurs forward.
