Important results from the project

The purpose of STING Day 2013 was to create a meeting place where innovative startups could gain inspiration, knowledge and valuable contacts that leads to an added value to the objective of building international growth companies. The goal: At least 85% of participating startups during the event should have made at least one new valuable business contact, that directly or indirectly can generate value to the company. - Result: 89% were positive / very positive to STING Day 2013.

Expected long term effects

89% of participating startups created at least one new valuable business contact, that directly or indirectly can generate value to the company. STING Day has led to many investor meetings, both in Stockholm and London, and several discussions on conditions for investment are ongoing. Several companies came into contact with new partners and got leads on new customers.

Approach and implementation

STING Day 2013 took place on May 7 and the event was full (350 people). This year we moved the event from Kista into town, Hotel Birger Jarl. The central location facilitated participation which was much appreciated. Speakers and the format with company pitches received good feedback. The exhibition of the companies will be given more space next year and moved to the first area directly at the entrance. Even more time will also be given to networking, and we´ll have optional workshops and lectures that run parallel to allow participants to use the time in the way that best suits them.
