Purpose and goal

The project involves an implementation and evaluation of the "Startup jungle" methodology at six incubators around Sweden. Startup jungle is a method for live strategy modeling through workshop-based coaching that uses the jungle as a metaphor for the situation the startup company finds itself in. The goal of the method is to create a dialogue about strategic path choices within the team that is genuine, concrete and engaging. The goal of the project is to evaluate the methodology in relation to the startup companies´ perceived maturity development.

Expected effects and result

We expect three main results: - An evaluation of the method that provides input for continued use and development. - A better understanding of the method´s ability to support the teams´ strategic dialogue. - An exchange between the participating incubators regarding how best to support this dialogue.

Planned approach and implementation

The project consists of six incubators, a method expert and a researcher. The arrangement is based on startup companies in the participating incubators being able to participate in the project and try out the methodology a number of times during the course of the project. Coaches from the incubators attend to try it out, provide input and potentially also become facilitators. In parallel, an evaluation takes place based on statements of the teams and coaches.
