Purpose and goal

This project aims to fund necessary and novel methods of conducting the selection and incubation processes of startups during 2021-2024. Through this project, we aim to have increased both quantity and quality in the already strong incubation processes and programs offered by SSE through SSE Business Lab. Effectively, this will strengthen the support provided to startups with international growth potential, who contribute to the realization of the Agenda 2030 goals.

Expected effects and result

The incubation processes include access to expertise through coaching from business experts as well as access to services free of charge through a large portfolio of partners and an expert network with advisers in specialist areas, funded by this project. Also included is access to capital through investor networks and proximity to contacts such as talent and industry actors connected to the incubator. The selection and incubation processes result in more innovative, knowledge-intensive, and sustainable growth companies with international competitiveness.

Planned approach and implementation

This project will fund activities that will strengthen the support provided to startups with international growth potential, who contribute to the realization of the Agenda 2030 goals. Examples of such activities are impact-centered attraction, screening with an impact criterion and sustainability coaching, as well as the operation of an expert network with advisers in specialist areas.
