Important results from the project
The insight that we are surrounded by natural energy fluxes that can be exploited is growing in the engineering and management sector. The main example is that of solar energy that can be used both actively with solar panels and passively through customized architecture and urban development. It is suggested that a tool (SEBE) is developed to calculate solar irradiance on all surfaces of buildings to yield a complete image of the building envelopes exposure to solar energy. Potential customers include those that need to adapt to an increasingly energy efficient urban development.
