Important results from the project
The goal of the project is to develop a strategic innovation agenda for technology development and research in social robotics, identifying stakeholders, key application areas and possibilities of technology, potential obstacles and risks. This has been achieved.
Expected long term effects
The Agenda is intended to guide development and pave the way for renewal, pooling and cross-border cooperation in the field of social robotics. The agenda gives Sweden a unique opportunity to play a key role in the development of an area that will transform our work and our social environments in a decisive way.
Approach and implementation
Experts from industry, the public sector and researchers were invited to a series of thematic workshops: location-centric social robotics, person-centered social robotics, and representing robots. A summaring workshop dealt with broader issues such as ethical considerations, data storage and privacy issues. A writer group has developed agenda text and circulated among the project´s key people. The resulting agenda reflects what emerged during the workshops and key peoples´ reflections well.
