Important results from the project

Overall the evaluation is that the project has met is primary goals by contributing to business development and value. Many of the companies has been able to ensure further financing from investors and EU-grants. Some has received or awaiting decisions from additional Vinnova grants. In most cases the verification support has provided the companies with market insights and relations with potential customers.

Expected long term effects

The project has processed 30 applications for verification grants whereof 50 % was granted funding according to the application, 17 % was granted limited funding and 30 % was denied grants. 40 % of the applications came from start-ups within the review incubator and 60 % had no affiliations with the incubator. The project has given the companies the possibility to ensure insights and knowledge to support decision making for future business development and direction.

Approach and implementation

The applicant has after initial contact with and guidance from the coordinating business coach, applied for a maximum of 250.000 SEK using a simple template describing the project and with activity plan. The application has been reviewed by a group of 3-5 persons meeting every second month. Following the activities outlined in the application a final report has been submitted outlining the outcome and next step. Overall the process has been smooth and efficient.
