Important results from the project

During the project, the work via the production arenas Compraser Labs and PTC with staff from RISE have contributed with value-creating test bed resources together with “piloting” new SMEs into the innovation system. This by focusing on identifying, mobilizing and supporting SMEs and promoting their opportunities to participate in research and innovation projects. One SMF Flyg-call was announced and carried out in the spring of 2021, where a total of 12 project applications were submitted.

Expected long term effects

For the spring, a total of 5 projects were granted by the SMF Flyg program, of which 1 level 1- project, 3 level 2 projects and 1 level 3 project. Of the total of 14 SMEs that submitted or participated in applications for the call, 9 of these had not applied to SMF Flyg before. In many of the project applications, OEMs were involved, which hopefully can further strengthen the SMEs´ opportunity to do business.

Approach and implementation

The work has involved e.g. innovation-promoting and strategic communication to potential SME project participants, documentation and administrative work as well as helping SMEs formulate project proposals. Within the project, a call for proposal was carried out for SMF Flyg call in the spring of 2021. This included, marketing, advertising of the announcements via email, administration and contact with Innovair´s authority group and assessment group as well as contact with SMEs, OEMs and research actors.
