Important results from the project

The aim was to lay the foundations for the digital metal innovation ecosystem, by giving three different seminars / workshops and providing information material for spreading awareness and elevating the knowledge level about digitalized metal to a wider audience. All objectives were met.

Expected long term effects

Two workshops (at Husqvarna and SKF) and an innovation jam (at Lindholmen Science park) were arranged. Knowledge elevation at the workshops was measured by: at workshops: the participants´ increasingly initiated ideas on the benefit of digitized metal. At the innovation jam: the level of innovation on the results (a project proposal and a technology-oriented discussion). The knowledge elevation was good and had not been achieved without this project. Additionally, several projects, project applications and ideas have come as result of this project, its marketing and networking.

Approach and implementation

Before the holiday: seminar agenda planned at an internal test seminar, material was compiled, invitation with inspirational illustration was designed. Dates set to September and October. Result guests / opportunity: 1.Companies (5), Institutes (1), College (1) 2.Companies (4), Institutes (1) 3.Companies (4), Institutes (1), College (1) About 50 personal contacts were taken. Many led to collaborative ideas but not participation. Analysis: The area is right in time, just before breakthrough. Marketing as important as the seminar. September too early for external parties.
