Important results from the project

Our goal is to connect with local businesses within the real estate business that can participate in the research by gathering and sharing annual data of energy use within their building stock. We aim to find partners with buildings of various technical status, covering the range of well-developed HVAC technology to undeveloped energy systems. In order to shine light on the potential of an upgrade amongst the buildings costly energy systems and to facilitate long term investments with positive impacts on energy consumption.

Expected long term effects

Our work spreading information regarding the research program and an early stage project idea, was expected to result in two consortia a Brazilian and a Swedish that both would fulfill the requirements stated in the research program, along with covering all necessary knowledge to accomplish the future work. More expectation was a result of a joint development of a project idea, rooted in the actual needs, that would be a foundation for the final research application. A Swedish consortium exists, but the Brazilian one never formed due to a global pandemic.

Approach and implementation

Our main goal was to connect with project partners by sharing information of the two-state collaboration by presenting the research program, RISE business model and project portfolio on project overlapping with our initial project idea within the field of smart buildings. We then presented the full project idea and invited attendees to discuss the idea in order to improv it, based on local conditions. We left the responsibility to form a consortium with the representatives of the universities we met with. We could have recruited a local project leader in hope of finalizing a consortium.
