Important results from the project
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** My expectations were to get in touch and discuss opportunities for research collaboration with Indian motor industry, e.g. Tata and possibly companies that make larger internal combustion engines for power plants. I was also interested in getting in touch with and discussing research collaboration with Indian research institutes, e.g. ARAI. Contact has been established with Ador Power, Tata Power and IIT Goa.
Expected long term effects
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Since this was a trip to make contacts, there are no concrete results apart from the contacts made as above. In terms of expected effects, it is also difficult to say anything more specific than the hope that the contacts will lead to established research collaboration over time. A working group consisting of delegates who were on the trip continues to work on cultivating the contacts.
Approach and implementation
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The structure of the delegation trip was that we visited companies, authorities and universities/institutes in three cities in western India (Pune, Mumbai and Pandjim). At each of the organizations visited, the delegates introduced themselves and their respective organizations and did their best to network and make contacts for future collaboration. This work was successful and led to many established contacts.
