Important results from the project

SmakShare recipe app has developed a meal planning and shopping list feature that makes it easier to plan and consume everything you purchase. In SmakShare, you can save all your recipes, and now with our new meal planning feature, you can schedule when to cook your meals and have all the necessary ingredients added to a shopping list. By making it easier to plan and keep track of your purchases, we can reduce food waste in households.

Expected long term effects

SmakShare has successfully developed its first meal planning feature, and it will make a difference for couples and families in their everyday lives. The meal planning feature, which has just been completed, is an initial version where our users can take a saved recipe, schedule when it will be cooked, and receive a smart shopping list with all the ingredients. Moving forward, our plan is to suggest recipes based on food preferences and ingredients available in the pantry or fridge.

Approach and implementation

SmakShare has developed a meal planning feature that is integrated with a shopping list, making it easy to plan meals and have all the necessary items consolidated in one shopping list. SmakShare is a recipe app where users can save all their recipes, and now they can simply click on a recipe and instantly schedule when to cook it while generating a convenient shopping list with the required ingredients. This simplifies conscious shopping and meal planning.
