Important results from the project

The project aims to contribute to a more efficient use of resources and more "seamless" support for new/growing companies; by increasing collaboration and a foster a shared systemic approach between innovation support actors and spreading methods and support efforts nationally to contribute to innovative new companies being offered the most equal support possible. The project has involved large parts of the innovation support system and contributed to an increased degree of cooperation for the best of the country´s innovative companies regardless of geographical residence.

Expected long term effects

The project has achieved its desired results. The innovation support system of Sweden today is better connected and more efficient with better conditions for supporting innovative SME than at the start of the project. Today, there is increased interaction between relevant regional and national support actors, which testifies to a strong desire to collaborate cross-regionally and across organizational “boarders". There is also an increased shared access to business development tools and methods, which has created more equal conditions for SMEs across the country.

Approach and implementation

To create leverage in prior investments the project has proceeded from existing platforms/methods. Development has focused on increasing synergy effects and regional-national cooperation. The work has been carried out through learning/experience exchanges, collaboration platforms and various working groups with a spread regarding geographics, industry sectors, regional-national and support system actors - a key to achieving the goals despite initial delays. Participants testify to great value in sharing strategic analysis/exchange of experience across these "borders"
