Important results from the project
The aim of the project has been to develop a platform for leading innovation concerning welfare technology in cooperation (as case of social innovation). The platform is realized as a website: co-wt.se. It offers a toolbox for innovation through cooperation. The aim was also to produce knowledge about organizing for increased innovation capacity when there are many actors involved in the innovation process and when technology needs to produce value for older people. This knowledge is gathered in the website, but also scientific publications, movie, reports, interviews.
Expected long term effects
The major result is co-wt.se, i e platform for innovation for the welfare technology area through cooperation (in Swedish and English). The platform contains ways of working and tools that have been tested by personnel from the involved organizations and older people, i e the target group for this social innovation. The platform is known within the organizations and offers a needed support for innovation processes, but is also available for all actors interested. In the applied project IVRIS we further develop both the platform and how it can be integrated in different organizations.
Approach and implementation
The project has been based in a participatory innovation approach including different actors in the generation of knowledge and the development of ways of working with innovation through cooperation. Through dialogue with the organizations we have adjusted somewhat the form for presenting the result compared to the original idea in order to maximize the value for the ones using the platform we have developed. A toolbox is in fact something that can affect the way organizations work without leading to unnecessary bureaucracy and double processes.
