Important results from the project
The project aims to help manufacturing companies to transform their approach from being focused on product development to solve their customers ´ problems. The offer includes complementary way of doing business on the inhouse generated knowledge. The base of these offers will probably still be products but they become instead a means to solve customer problems. The goal of the project was to get 10 wood-related companies to participate as well as to document and publish the results in book form. The project has had to be cancelled and the target is not met

Approach and implementation
When the project was decided made Träcentrum employees an inventory of companies with whom we have contact with and chose out around 20 companies considered to have the abilit to be included in the project. After the contacts we had with the companies, we have realized that it is not possible to find a suitable company that is ripe for the process that the project linking the right company to the project. Our experience is that new development concept can mean a long selling-in process. Unfortunately, it was not possible to get with companies so fast that it was necessary to carry out the project.
