Important results from the project
The project has aimed to develop and test a methodology by which manufacturing companies are supported in transforming its approach from being focused on product development to solve the problems of their clients (a service approach). The base of these business deals will probably still be products but they become instead a means to solve customer problems. The purpose has been met in the project.
Expected long term effects
The work has had as objective to strengthen participation Enterprise future competitiveness and to serve as a pilot model in order to be able to be scaled up to include more enterprises at regional and national basis.
Approach and implementation
The project was implemented in the form of a series of meetings/workshops. Program series began with an inspirational day where all Member companies within the cluster Steel & Engineering in Värmland was invited. Program series conducted in the form of three joint workshops and in between individual workshops with each company. In the workshops we had mixed a theoretical approach of services with actual experience from how other companies have dealt with the issues and opportunities surrounding the servicification.
