Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The aim of the project was to develop a new package for a self-sampling kit. A prototype package for the kit was developed and assessed by the expert team to have the potential to be adapted in administrative, laboratory workflow, be cost-effective and medically safe. The prototype was then assessed via a questionnaire with assessment points in a group of end users (when visiting a gynecologist) to be attractive, have a good design and have a good understanding of its use. Subproject two was not implemented due to changing conditions in the project group.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The newly developed packaging for the kit´s components is judged by both the expert team and the end user to have very good conditions for its aim. The company behind the development of the packaging has been reorganized and the parties from Uppsala University (project owner of the HPVir® concept) have chosen to continue in collaboration with another company, which means that this particular packaging prototype will not be produced. However, the knowledge will be useful for a similar packaging.

Approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** When developing the package, we looked at its design as; different packaging boxes, opening function, cost, weight and the potential to use it in an administrative and laboratory large-scale flow. We also looked at different choices of images and logos for printing on the outside of the package in aim to reflect its use and attraction. A questionnaire with assessment points for end users that was recruited during a visit to a gynecological clinic in Uppsala was produced.
