Important results from the project
In 2015 and 2016, Cognibotics has conducted technical and market-based verification of its patented robot calibration technology, which is such that the method can be performed by the robot itself, thus becoming self-calibrating. The work has run according to plan, but the resulting product range is quite different from the expected. The market is expected to be large, but takes time to reach. The project has been crucial for the company´s development and expansion, with a doubling of staff in project time and promising growth opportunities in the future.
Expected long term effects
The technology was found to be in demand but in its first version in 2015 not sufficiently robust. By 2016, a new issue and reimplementation was made in addition to the project plan, while in 2016 the project could both verify the new solution and make a market analysis that resulted in a complete product architecture with parts that can be sold separately. Through these extra efforts, the project plan has been completed. There is a good growth forecast in a globally growing market.
Approach and implementation
The project´s plan and implementation, in accordance with the VINN-Verification guidelines, has promoted analysis and synthesis, resulting in concrete plans for continued market introduction and growth.
