Important results from the project

The project aims to increase understanding as well as visualise the effects of a more inclusive workplace through the lens of a norm-critical perspective in the IT-branch. We have carried out all parts of the project and created a VR-prototype, which was what we wanted to do.

Expected long term effects

The expected effects were partly to gain additional understanding of why women quit but also to gain understanding of why men stay, as well as, by proceeding from the perceived obstacles by means of VR, to create a more inclusive workplace. We carried out the entire project through the collection of data, analysis, visualisation, and the creation of the VR-solution.

Approach and implementation

We carried out workshops and interviews and from the conclusions of the analysis we worked in a developmental team to find the entry points into a visualisation of a future and inclusive workplace. Afterwards, we had 20 people test the solution to see if they thought it works to show a future workplace by means of VR. The VR-solution was also demonstrated at Women in Tech in Stockholm.
