Important results from the project

The goal was: "A mega scale system for multi-stakeholder R&D collaboration within Global Sustainability Development Goals to enable " SDG-R&D Programs” at Global, National and Local levels "It is fulfilled. A fully functional system has been developed that is scalable from organizational level (universities, companies, agencies, etc.) to national level (universities in the country, companies, etc.) and Global level which enables comparisons between countries and that individuals can join without belonging to any organization.

Expected long term effects

There is now a unique system that connects different stakeholders to create and share ideas, find each other and collaborate within sustainability goals. The expectations is that universities, companies and agencies will join; Idea Banks (for their own organization) that can be connected to other organisational Idea Banks and form national and international communities. It would increase R&D work exponentially in a short time, which is beneficial for society, organizations and individuals. Nordunet with 800 000 users is an interesting opportunity.

Approach and implementation

The development of the system is based on experiences from Stockholm University, where an idea bank was used to match students with supervisors at an institution. This project has created an Idea Bank that is more general, fits all academic areas, is linked to the sustainability goals and is available to more stakeholders and for more purposes, see attachment. The overall framework The Sustainability Goals is a structure that is generic at all levels from individual researchers, students, employers and employees to organizations, nations and the global level.
