Project duration October 2024 - October 2025
Status Ongoing
Venture Preparation projects for international application within health
Call Towards deeper collaboration with UK and USA partners within Health and Life Science

Purpose and goal

The goal for this project is to build a well-rounded international consortium focused on a long-term project plan for developing advanced therapies for peripheral nerve regeneration. This consortium will focus on industrial and academic partners from Sweden and UK. From the proof-of-concept results, this will help us decide on the long-term strategy and kind of nerve implant needed to go forward.

Expected effects and result

Expected outcomes and effects of the project involve the establishment of a novel interdisciplinary collaboration that advances therapies for peripheral nerve injuries. Our starting point for this long-term consortium is a proof-of-concept (PoC) nerve implant from combined expertise. The anticipated outcomes include an efficient, scalable implant prototype, a strengthened consortium for long-term research, and a framework for navigating market, intellectual property, and regulatory pathways.

Planned approach and implementation

The project is structured around key work packages aimed at a long-term strategy to address Peripheral Nerve Injuries in patients. The project consists of four main work packages: WP 1 focuses on creating and testing a proof of concept (PoC) for the nerve regeneration scaffold. WP 2 aims to build consortium competencies, the roadmap for regulatory approval, and potential partnerships. WP 3 involves comprehensive market and intellectual property analysis. WP 4 is on project management.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
