Purpose and goal

Swedish Chips Competence Center (SCCC) is the Swedish node in European Network of Chips Competence Centers (ENCCC). SCCC will as its activities provide services, advice and training mainly to Swedish actors that are active in any part of the European semiconductor value chain, but also internationally. The goal of SCCC´s activities is to make visible and increase accessibility to national and international resources within the entire value chain for semiconductors.

Expected effects and result

The activities that SCCC conducts will lead to an increased awareness of available resources regarding both software and hardware for the development of semiconductor technology and components for Swedish SME- actors who are or intend to become active within the value chain for semiconductors in Sweden. The expected effect of this is to lower the threshold for utilizing already existing and future European resources in Sweden and Europe and to thereby more effectively switch up Swedish concepts.

Planned approach and implementation

SCCC initially has a good understanding of both actors and needs within the addressed sector, but still intends to start the business by making the platform visible and gradually adapting the need to the users´ needs and wishes. Much of the initial activity is aimed at increasing visibility and awareness of the platform as such. SCCC will achieve this through the establishment and maintenance of both digital and physical contact surfaces. SCCC works for increased synergies between the actors
