Call Innovative collaborations with the USA in XR - step 1

Purpose and goal

Recent advances in XR technology have paved the way for a new learning approach that maintains "off-line" training through a simulated virtual work environment. This enables training at a local level without access to existing production facilities and expertise. This project proposes a scalable XR environment for industrial education and training of industrial workers active in the future battery sector.

Expected effects and result

The goal of the project (step 1) is to, together with a collaboration partner in the USA, validate the need and value of a possible solution and demonstrate a possible working solution through a demonstrator. - Develop demonstrator together with partners in the USA - Identify intended industrial users within the US battery sector and validate battery industry needs - Formulated solution proposal and pitch for further development in step 2 - Scientific publication of proposed solutions

Planned approach and implementation

Preparations: - Formulate vision, strategy and idea - Identify and contact partners in the US - Plan joint workshop for idea validation Stay: - Formally tie partners to the project - Start demonstrator - Workshop to validate needs and requirements - Designing the pitch and solution proposal Finishing work: - Completion of demonstrator and validation of demonstrator - Completion of the pitch and solution proposal for step 2 - Scientific publication
