Call Innovative collaborations with the USA in XR - step 1

Important results from the project

The need that the project intended to solve was validated on site in USA during dialogues with American actors active in XR and the potential of the propsed solution could thus be confirmed. Interest from users of the research results in the USA was high, potential consumers and intended users were identified and a constructive dialogue was established. Potential development partners of coming proposed technical solution in stage 2 are on board and included in the upcoming proposal.

Expected long term effects

The project aims to lower the threshold for large-scale implementation of XR training in the manufacturing industry. This will ultimately increase competence and thereby efficiency, quality and safety for industries, especially important for the growing battery industry. An industry that currently has major challenges with safety and efficiency. Thus, the results aims to contribute in the long term to the sustainable electrification of our products and society.

Approach and implementation

Week 1-8: Pre visit Investigations on the local XR scene in Silicon Valley to identify collaboration partners for step 2. Contact was established to book physical meetings during the stay. Week 8-10: Stay in Silicon Valley Participation in events organized by Vinnova and own physical meetings with possible collaboration partners that were previously identified. Week 11-17: Post visit Follow up with intended collaboration partners to design a concrete proposal and collaboration for step 2.
