Important results from the project
4light AB´s goal with the innovation project has been to develop and user test a prototype of a safety harness whose purpose is to alert and change unsafe behavior on construction sites. Through collaboration with Peab Anläggning AB, 4light AB has been able to develop intended prototype, thereby fulfilling the overall objective of the project.
Expected long term effects
Through the innovation project, 4light AB has been able to develop a prototype of a safety harness that holds geo-location technology as well as a light system of different colors to inform the wearer and his environment when in areas of construction sites where accidents often occur. The prototype shall be further developed into a commercializable product that is to be promoted to the construction industry, with the aim of gradually changing insecure behavior at construction sites into a security conscious behavior.
Approach and implementation
In the innovation project, 4light AB has partnered with Peab Anläggning AB to develop and user test a prototype of a safety harness for the construction industry. Thanks to the cooperation, the prototype has been produced and partly user-tested (some field testing remains), and the project´s implementation has consequently followed the intended implementation.
