Important results from the project
The aim of the project is to increase the traffic safety through development of automated functionality for vehicles. Automation further has the potential to reduce fuel consumption as well as increase productivity and comfort. I this planning project, the aim was to complete a full application for a VINNMER Marie Curie Industry Outgoing project in the area. This application was submitted in March 2014.
Expected long term effects
An application for a Marie Curie Industry Outgoing project was completed in the planning project and submitted to Vinnova in March 2014. The aim is that this application should result in a full-scale project within in the area of vehicle automation for increased safety.
Approach and implementation
The project leader visited three leading universities in U.S. During the trip, the project leader met with several possible collaboration partners. The PATH lab was identified as the most suitable partner and an application for a full-scale project was prepared together.
