Important results from the project

The goal of building a sustainable business model ( objective 1) has been achieved by analyzing the innovation and our knowledge assets. We have further developed the innovation with the help of end users (objective 2), and among other things created a prototype of a digital game that children and teachers have tested. We have also worked with key stakeholders to commercialize and spread the innovation (objective 3).

Expected long term effects

We have identified and analyzed a solution to increase active school transportation that we believe has great potential. This model, developed and tested in a number of pilot studies, has in a market analysis carried out in step 1 shown that there is a great interest from schools to get a digital solution of this innovation. The work during step 1 has clarified the innovation, what needs to be further developed and what knowledge assets we have.

Approach and implementation

To utilize the research results and to enable a broad implementation and dissemination of the innovation, close collaboration between many actors and the intended end users is required. We have initiated the work to package the innovation to enable commercialization. The basis for this is a evaluation of 30 schools that tested the innovation during the autumn. This close collaboration with the end users is a basic prerequisite and will continue during a step 2 project.
