Important results from the project
The project has very successfully developed a working prototype for thawing of blood plasma. This first prototype has been used for internal testing with the purpose to show that the technical risk in the overall project has been reduced significantly. The cooperation amongst project parties has been very good and the next project phase can start as soon necessary financing has been secured. Preparations for commercialization for next year has allready begun.
Expected long term effects
The developed prototype thaws frozen blood plasma in significantly less time than targeted 5 min. EMC shielding in the instrument is adequate. COGS is on a competitive level.
Approach and implementation
This project involved two new Antrad partners. The competency and cooperation in the combined project team has been instrumental in the success of the project, compared to previous internal projects. The financial support from Vinnova for the development project but also the IP Check has been most valuable and also contributed to increased external interest for the project due to the fact that Vinnova participation is regarded as a quality stamp.
