Important results from the project
With the project, we have increased understanding of the possibility of fulfilling the objective, to create a coherent network of different types of mobility facilities with mobility services, which contributes to a system shift from private car ownership to shared mobility. In the project, we have identified challenges in, among other things, the planning process, business models and roles. The exchange between the municipalities has given us insights into our similarities and differences and developed a consensus on definitions, effects and functions for system change.
Expected long term effects
Above all, the exchange of experience between the three municipalities has provided a deeper understanding of the conditions for building mobility facilities in each municipality. The documented material serve as a start on continued collaboration with actors at the regional and national level. It is easier to spread the knowledge internally in the municipalities but also to other municipalities when we have definitions for different mobility facilities and have been able to identify challenges with the implementation, the expansion of different types of facilities.
Approach and implementation
The exchange of experience has consisted of regular working meetings with the three participating municipalities, Linköping University, and consultant Malmö municipality has also participated in some working meetings. Under the leadership of Linköping University, a workshop with relevant officials in the municipality, including the municipal parking company, has also been carried out. The Swedish Transport Administration has not attended, but the national perspective has been highlighted at the working meetings.... The documentation is presented in the attached report.
