Important results from the project
This goal of this prestudy was to further develop the RISE-SENAI partnership after the signing of an MoU between the parties in November 2018. The purpose of the partnership is to increase the level of cooperation between the partners (and countries) in Research and Innovation activities that provide benefit to both countries industries. The prestudy produced a working outline of the cooperation, defined the first business model, mapped overlapping RISE-SENAI competences, and defined the first project proposals for the RISE-SENAI collaboration.
Expected long term effects
The results of the prestudy was a deepening of the relationship between RISE and SENAI and a definition of the first model for cooperation based on the public-private consortium model. By defining the relationship between RISE and SENAI it is expected that a stable framework can be created for industry in both countries to utilize the public resources and networks of the respective institutes in both countries for new innovation project collaboration.
Approach and implementation
The prestudy was designed with different activities to be carried out over a 6-month period, Jan-Jun 2019. Activities included: 1) business model development, 2) competence mapping between RISE and SENAI, 3) matchmaking and networking event and 4) industry engagement for initial and future projects.
