Purpose and goal
Voysys AB is developing a remotely operated excavator for military operations and humanitarian demining. The project aims to enable safer and more efficient operations in hazardous areas through advanced remote control and intuitive visualization. The remotely operated excavator can be used to dig trenches, remove obstacles, and clear mines, reducing the risk to personnel on the front lines.
Expected effects and result
The remotely operated excavator is anticipated to enhance the safety of military personnel by reducing the need for physical presence in hazardous areas. The technology can also be utilized in humanitarian demining efforts, helping to protect civilian lives. The project has the potential to strengthen Sweden´s competitiveness in the defense and security sector and contribute to international humanitarian missions.
Planned approach and implementation
The project involves developing a prototype of a small remotely operated excavator. Voysys AB will adapt its existing remote control technology for military purposes, focusing on robustness and user-friendliness. After development, the prototype will undergo testing and field trials to ensure functionality and efficiency.
