Important results from the project
The project aims for an evaluation of reliabilty aspects of a power converter based SiC components. Potential failure modes and system aspects are investigated. This is achieved by literature studies and experimental research.
Expected long term effects
Longterm and acceleratad test has performed on commercial SiC components. Research results have been published at scientific conferences and journals. The outcome is expected improve reliability in SiC based power converetrs.
Approach and implementation
The project is based on a litterature study to identify potential failure modes. These have been evaluated by experimental research using specific testsystems.
