Important results from the project
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** CREATE prestudy aimed to establish a consortium and prepare a proposal for a research and innovation project around a collaborative platform for transport system simulation with the aim of better supporting system level analyzes, by creating technical and collaborative mechanisms to enable co-creation of data, models and simulation scenarios, as well as mechanisms to keep these updated and still relevant and (re-)useable. Due to external circumstances, the proposal not completed but is expected to be completed in the autumn of 2020
Expected long term effects
Due to the influence of the pandemic, the proposal is at a preliminary stage with clear structure and targeted work packages and the proposal is being developed. There is a consortium where the participants have found own incentives to participate. The effects of the feasibility study is clear in that a consensus is emerging on the need for an independent open collaboration platform for transport system simulation, and what such a platform should contain. This creates the incentives to complete the proposal even though the project period for the feasibility study has formally expired.
Approach and implementation
The project was planned to mainly consist of workshops to create consensus on the requirements for an open collaboration platform and jointly narrow the scope of the proposal. Due to the pandemic, the methodology had to quickly change to interviews conducted by a core group, which created additional work due to the challenges of reconciling and analyzing the interview results. In addition to the interview, the core team has held (and continues to hold) weekly follow-up meetings, and has also organized regular meetings with the whole consortium
