Venture Impact Innovation Net Zero industry - Program-specific efforts
Call Impact Innovation: Increased resource efficiency and resilience, stage 1

Purpose and goal

The purpose is to create conditions for robust and resource-efficient sawmills through dynamic maintenance ensuring operational reliability and socially sustainable work. Performance goals: - Mapping and analysis of sawmill maintenance and operational safety, including external and internal partners, as well as collaboration between people and technology - Concept for robust and human-centred maintenance work - Roadmap for human-centered robust, resource-efficient and dynamic sawmill maintenance

Expected effects and result

- More robust and resource-efficient sawmills through socially sustainable maintenance work processes - Increased global export capacity and reduced import needs for Swedish forest industry - Resilient and resource-efficient maintenance inspires and makes a difference beyond the value network - Lessons learned for human-centered radical innovation leaps in traditional industry - Reduced greenhouse gas emissions through dynamic maintenance processes for energy and material optimization

Planned approach and implementation

State-of-the-art analysis, process and production mapping of the current maintenance. Qualitative (interviews, workshops) and quantitative data collection (maintenance data). Idea concept generation with needs owner for feedback, validation and identification of opportunities and obstacles. Roadmap for resource-efficient and dynamic maintenance processes and work processes. Etapp 2 application with more parties for sustainable, robust and resource-efficient industry with dynamic maintenance.
