Important results from the project
This year´s four winners of Quality Innovation Award show that sustainability is the way forward. The goal of Quality Innovation Award is to reward innovations and inspire innovators to believe in their ideas. This year´s Swedish winners of the international Quality Innovation Award are Actibump, Instant Thread Coloring, NOAQ Boxvall and Ungdomsgård online. Of these four and a total of 561 innovations internationally, NOAQ Boxvall and Actibump also win prizes in the international award that was arranged digitally in China in April 2022.
Expected long term effects
SIQ has awarded Quality Innovation Award since 2011 and this year can be judged as successful as the innovations that were highlighted also showed that the really successful innovations also change procedures and processes from social, economic and ecological sustainability perspectives with support from new technical solutions. Overall, Quality Innovation Award 2021 has successfully highlighted innovations that have inspired others and it has also shown, in an international perspective, the Swedish innovation capability.
Approach and implementation
Quality Innovation Award 2021 has been organized by SIQ - the Swedish Institute for Quality. The independent judging committee highlighted four winning innovations following SIQ´s analysis of 20 innovations. Two of the four innovations proved to have a high international standard. Great emphasis has been placed on communication and three press releases have been sent out as part of this year´s process to get as much attention as possible to make the innovations known, but mainly to inspire other innovators to dare to believe in their ideas.
